Black Rooster Zodiac

What? A Black Rooster standing on some money.

Details: ~6cm tall. Sculpted with polymer clay, painted with acrylics and glazed.

My Comments:
Done for the DeviantArt 12th Bday contest. The prompt said to do your zodiac animal or something along those lines, so I decided to choose a Rooster, which is what I think the contest called my year animal or something. The day animal and month animal stuff seems a bit superfluous imo.

I decided to do a black rooster because when I used a Chinese Astrology site that was listed under the contest they described me as a Black Rooster, which I guess is kind of fitting.
From Google, a rooster is supposedly confident, pompous and motivated person. I guess that describes me, it would be nice if one day I could confidently and pompously stand on a pile of cash, haha. WE'LL SEE.

The DA contest says Roosters are protective, courageous etc. But I think I relate more to the negative rooster traits, haha, such as being impatient and blunt. oh well.

It was a bit scary making a rooster at first but I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out. I tried to make the Rooster look like it was proud of standing on the money, like it was protective of it or super proud of getting all that money. What a greedy rooster!

The eyes are actually little gem crystal things, and it's not painted pure black. There are many different shades of black, but the camera didn't pick that up. >_<

I only uploaded one view of it to DA this time because it's for a contest, don't worry, I haven't forsaken DA for tumblr.
